Dr Abdel-Nasser is an expert in advanced desalination and water-energy technology with extensive experience in both research and industrial innovation. He currently serves as Water and Energy Director at Gulf Core Energy Service Company (Qatar), leading technical solutions, process design, and pilot development for cutting-edge desalination and salt-production technologies. He spent nearly a decade as a Senior Scientist at the Qatar Environment and Energy Research Institute, developing advanced MED, RO, and brine-concentration technologies, and served as an Associate Professor at HBKU. His earlier roles include leading R&D projects at Doosan Heavy Industry in the UAE, South Korea, and Saudi Arabia, and teaching engineering at Suez University. He has authored over 100 publications and filed 10 patent applications.
