Alaaeldin is a 4th year PhD candidate at the Department of Environmental Technology, Wageningen University & Research. He develops electro-membrane processes for water treatment applications. His research focuses on ion transport through ion-exchange membranes and surface coatings. Furthermore, he investigates the integration of electrodialysis with other membrane technologies, such as reverse osmosis and nanofiltration.
