Dr. Saif bin Rashid Al-Shaqsi

Chairman of the Oman Water Society

He holds a Ph.D. in Water Demand Management from the University of Nottingham, UK, in 2004, a master's degree in water management from the University of Wales in 1996, and a BSc in Hydrology from King Abdulaziz University, Saudi Arabia, in 1990.

He held many positions, the most important of which were Director General of Water Resources, Director General of the One Million Palm Tree Planting Project, and Executive Director of the National Field Research Center for Environmental Conservation.

He also chaired the boards of directors of several investment companies.

He participated in many conferences and published many research papers in the field of water, Agriculture and environment. He is the author of Water Demand Management in Arid countries book.

He is currently the Chairman of the Oman Water Society and CEO of Mazoon for Sustainable Solutions.
